The Nano-Fx-system of the companies 2med or Arthroresurface offers a different, because it is smaller, solution in addition to the conventional micro fracturing procedure. The 1mm large PleuriStik leaves smaller defects and reaches down to the bone three times deeper than a traditional micro fracturing chisel. This way more channels inside the bone can be produced on the defect without weakening the bone stability at this place.   

A clear superiority to the techniques found yet must still be proven by studies.
