The cruciate ligaments

The cruciate ligaments are the most important stabilizers of the knee joint. The anterior cruciate ligament is the central coordinator of flexibility inside of the knee joint. It prevents an excessive sliding of the lower leg to the front. The posterior cruciate ligament prevents an evasion of the lower leg to the back.
